Sorry I have taken so long to get on this blog thing, but I am sure most of you know how it is!
I think I can say that we are almost settled. Now that only took a month and a half. :)
It has been a bit of a challenge finding activities for the kids to do. So far, we have Wyatt in soccer twice a week, and swimming 3 times a week. The soccer goes for an hour and the swimming is 40 minutes. So he is good. We have heard they have ballet and gymnastics for girls. but we have had a hard time finding them, and finding out if Lydia can even do it. They don't have much to offer for the little kids here. It is kind of sad.
I think of how lucky we are at home to have all the options we have for our kids.
I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. We had our dinner on the Sunday. I made a roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots, beans, yorkshire pudding and gravy. It turned out pretty good. Earlier that day we had a friend and his wife from back home come and visit for a few hours. So that was pretty nice.
Back home I used to do cleaning, laundry and shopping on Sundays. So out of habit I am still in that mode. Well, almost everything, except restaurants, are closed on Sundays. Now that seems really strange to me. But I do remember when Capilano mall started opening up on Sundays!
I don't know if we have mentioned our place. We are across the street from the beach. We overlook the ocean. It is very nice and calming. I have to say, I take my hat off to families who live in condos on a permanent basis. I find it a hard adjustment not being able to open the sliding door and sending them outside to the back yard. But we are all adjusting.
Today is our first day of "real" potty training. So all of you out there, keep your fingers crossed for us. Lydia has shown a lot of interest and does go on the potty some times. So no more diapers! :)
Ok, I am going to take off now.
Take care everyone, we miss all of you lots
